Springfield police were on the scene of an incident at a local charter school Friday morning.

Officers responded to Springfield Preparatory and Fitness Academy, 1615 Selma Road.

A News-Sun reporter at the scene said a juvenile was taken into custody around 9:40 a.m. Officers outside the school declined to comment.

Dispatchers received the call at 8:39 a.m., but no other information was available from city officials despite requests for information and records Friday.
