“We believe the best citizens are well-informed citizens, and it’s our job to ensure that the public has the information they need to access the resources available to them,” said Springfield City Manager Bryan Heck.
“It’s important for us to establish a baseline of the public’s current knowledge of city services so we can identify successes and areas of opportunity,” he added.
Residents who receive the call will be asked to identify and rate the value of services provided as well as how they view the city’s future.
Heck said in the news release that some residents have already received calls regarding the survey and that it’s important for residents to know that those calls are coming from a legitimate source.
City services have continued mostly uninterrupted amid the coronavirus pandemic, with some being transitioned online or through other virtual means.
