No injuries were reported, and the cause and damage estimate of the fire is still under investigation.
A neighbor who lives down the street from the complex, and also has a family member who lives in the apartment next to the one that caught fire, said the fire was caused from an electric baseboard heater.
“We had four different fire trucks from different areas from Riverside, Donnellsville, Enon, and Springfield,” said Brian Hacker.
One woman who also lives in the apartments said they were evacuated for several hours.
“I’m in the building next to the one that caught fire. We were evacuated for about five hours,” Amy Jo Belcher said.
Three families were displaced and the American Red Cross responded to assist them. The community is also working to help the families as well.
Belcher and one other community member have organized and coordinated a donation list and drop off locations for the residents that were displaced by the fire.
“Unfortunately, there was a fire on South Harrison early this morning. A few community members are collecting donations for the families as this was an apartment complex,” the Village of Enon wrote on their Facebook page Sunday afternoon.

Heather Stewart-Rigsbee and Belcher are working together to talk to the community, get donations together and assist with drop-off.
“Heather is a blessing to our community and our village is simply amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how generous our community is,” Belcher said.
According to donation lists, which are posted on Enon public forums and the Village of Enon’s Facebook page, some of the donation items include all types of clothes, shoes, diapers, baby wipes, gift cards for general items, household items and school supplies.
Items can be donated at the Enon Government Center, 363 E. Main St., during normal business hours.
Belcher said Stewart-Rigsbee has also worked with the families to set up a GoFundMe for monetary donations, which will be split between the three families.
