Any good from Iraq War?

We got lots of mail about the Iraq War and Tony Blair’s recent defense of it.

From reader Jack Helbert: “As someone who generally supported the the Iraq war at first when we had 70 some countries supporting it also, I find it hard to believe that the war had any real good come out of it. I recall there were 72 U.N. sanctions against Saddam Hussain, so the question begs if the war was a bad idea and we left Iraq alone, why should we pay all this money to the U.N. when we let countries violate the U.N. rules. Maybe Trump is right, we never should have gone to Iraq and the U.N. needs a major overhaul and other countries should pay their fair share.”

From Thomas Subler: “Don’t you admire the brilliance of ‘Monday morning quarterbacks’? Especially when they were for it before they were against it. Saddam is possibly wondering where they were when he really needed them.”
