Would you bet cheese on the Ohio State Buckeyes? Mike DeWine did and won some Muenster.

It’s tradition for governors and other elected officials to bet their counterparts in other states before on big rivalry or championship games.

The Buckeyes’ undefeated season so far has been paying off for DeWine.

“Looking forward to watching our @UWBadgers take on OSU in tomorrow’s @B1GFootball championship game! I am putting up Hook’s Muenster cheese from Mineral Point, but I am really looking forward to that Guggisberg Baby Swiss, @MikeDeWine! #OnWisconsin,” wrote Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers in a Tweet before the Big 10 championship game.

DeWine press secretary said the Ohio governor is awaiting delivery of the block of Muenster after the Buckeyes beat the Badgers 34-21 for the Big 10 championship title.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer already dispatched a basket of goodies from Zingerman’s, a gourmet deli in Ann Arbor. Ohio State beat the University of Michigan 56-27.

Next up? A possible bet with South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster over the outcome of the Clemson University - OSU match up on Dec. 28 in the Fiesta Bowl.
