Video catches officer using cruiser to push burning truck from restaurant

When a police officer was first to arrive on scene of a truck fire next to a fast-food restaurant in Texas, he didn’t have any tools to put out the fire.

But he did have his cruiser.

Cruiser cam footage from Glenn Heights officer Christ Womack’s cruiser shows him pulling up to the truck, which was engulfed in flames next to the drive-thru window of a Jack in the Box.

Womack drove his cruiser into the back of the burning truck, pushing it into the parking lot and away from the structure.

Out of breath, Womack can be heard telling dispatchers “I am not sure if the structure actually caught on fire, but the truck is in the parking lot now.”

On the department’s Facebook page, Womack was thanked for his courage and quick thinking, which prevented the fire from causing major damage to the building and protecting the employees.
