Statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert for Butler Co. man canceled

Richard Ashton has been found and is safe, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Ashton was located at a gas station in West Chester Twp.

INITIAL REPORT

A statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for an 88-year-old Butler County man.

Richard Ashton is described as a white male, six-feet-tall, weighing 152 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. Ashton was last seen wearing a blue button-up dress shirt, khaki pants, and brown dress shoes.

According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Ashton was last seen Thursday around 7 p.m. leaving a West Chester Hospital and has not returned home.

Ashton suffers from cognitive issues and is believed to have become lost trying to get home.

Ashton drives a maroon 2006 Ford Fusion with Ohio license plate EUP5254.
