In 1962, the 15th annual Clark County Fair at the current fairgrounds location ran from August 14-18, offering five packed days plus a preview day.

Springfield Then & Now: An early look at the Myers Market site

Explore»»Fair admission was 50 cents before 5 p.m. and 75 cents after

Fair manager B.P. Sandles had his hands full putting together a slate of activities including the usual 4-H and FFA displays, shows, and showings, local high school bands, wrestling shows, YMCA gymnastics demonstrations, the McKinley Rodeo Wild West Show, and more.

Today, the Paratrooper ride isn't there but the fair still has a lot to offer.
