Around 1922, George L. and Howard W. Hauck opened Hauck Brothers on the second floor of a new building at 206 W. Main, just above the newly moved Electric Service & Battery Company.

The two businesses only stayed in close quarters for a couple of years before Hauck moved down the block. That building is recently gone, but was The Social Club.

This corner was the scene of great celebration when locals gathered at the pub of Cooper Ludlow to celebrate the formation of Clark County two hundred years ago.

Today, the site is a vacant lot since The Social Club was demolished recently.
