Flower shop expanding to Urbana

Dorcey’s Flowers is expanding to Urbana and will celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony today.

The flower shop has a Bellefontaine location at 300 S. Main.

Instead of having customers drive to Bellefontaine, owner Kristie Herlong decided to expand to become more convenient.

“I do a lot of wedding flowers,” Herlong said. “A lot of my clients and a lot of the big venues are in that direction. So I just thought it would be smart to go ahead (and expand).”

Dorcey’s Flowers, 121 Scioto St. near Let’s Eat Cake, is  open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The ribbon-cutting is today at noon.
