No bomb found at Montgomery County S.T.O.P. facility

Police did not find a bomb at the scene and they’ve cleared the area.

The bomb squad was called after someone noticed two metal tubes nearby, and they thought it was a bomb, officials. Police used robots to investigate the tubes, and determined they were not bombs.

First report: 

The Dayton Police Bomb Squad have responded to the Montgomery County Secure Transitional Offender Program on South Gettysburg Avenue, according to dispatchers.

The bomb squad was requested around noon after “suspicious items” were found at the S.T.O.P. facility, according to dispatch records.

The facility is the home of a drug and alcohol intervention program, according to the facility’s website.
