Some people in downtown Bellefontaine Tuesday might have noticed the swarm of expensive cars parked in the area.

Ohio was chosen as the site of this year’s national conference for the Ferrari Club of North America, said Aric Hersch, rallymaster of the event from Lima, of the Ohio chapter of the Ferrarri Club of America.

The five-day event ends Wednesday in Columbus and Tuesday the group made a field trip to Logan County.

More than 100 Ferraris paraded through the county, making stops in downtown Bellefontaine, Marie’s Candy in West Liberty and the Ohio Caverns.

“Two years ago we had a regional rally (in Bellefontaine), everybody had such a great time, everybody here was so nice is was only natural to come back,” Hersh said.

This is the first time in two decades the Ferrari event was held in Ohio.

Ferrari owners from Canada and all across the United States participated in the event.

“It won’t come back for a long time,” Hersh said about the people in town seeing all the expensive cars.
