“Kathi was a hard worker who loved Greenon and being part of our team. She was always the first to offer to help or lend a hand to anyone who needed it,” the district stated.
Along with her 28 years of work at Greenon, she also helped with the Brentlinger Farm Market, was active in 4-H and the Clark County Fair, and was a member of the Sun Dial Garden Club.
“Kathi adored her family and loved being a grandmother to her five granddaughters. She was extremely proud of her sons, Howard, who is (Greenon’s) transportation mechanic, and Nathan, as well as her daughters-in-law, Angela and Jennifer,” the district stated. “Kathi will be deeply missed by her many friends and family throughout our community and in our district.”
According to her obituary, Brentlinger is survived by her father, Glenn; husband, Thomas; two sons, Nathan and Howard; grandaughters, Brianna, Katie, Adisann, Reese and Quinn; two brothers, Jeff and David Edwards; sister, Bonnie Edwards; a brother- and sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30 and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle, the obit says.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Clark County 4H Endowment, P.O. Box 444, Springfield, Ohio 45501.
