Gas station robbed in New Carlisle

A marathon gas station in New Carlisle was robbed of an undetermined amount of cash at knifepoint Saturday night, according to a Clark County sheriff’s report.

A man reportedly walked into the business in the 400 block of North Main Street about 9:30 p.m. and demanded money from a female employee who had her back to the door counting cigarettes.

The employee said she turned around and saw a tall man with a large, brown-handled knife in his hand. He was waring a red hooded shirt, a bandanna mask, gloves, a hat and sunglasses.

She gave him the money and he fled.

A bandanna, sweatshirt and gloves — which deputies said matched the description of the man’s clothing in a security video of the incident — along with sunglasses, a T-shirt, and a brown wood-handled knife, were located in a nearby park and collected as evidence. STAFF REPORT
