Gas prices in Miami Valley go up, stay above $2 mark

Gas prices continue to go up in the Miami Valley over the last week, with the average price staying above the $2 mark.

Average retail gas prices in Dayton have risen 4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.09 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.

This compares with the national average that has increased 6.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.11 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.09, with prices stable. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $1.99 at United Dairy Farmers at Harshman Road and Brandt Pike.

In Hamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.13, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $1.84 at Shell at Fairgrove Avenue near Campbell Drive.

In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.09, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $1.94 at Speedway at Derr Road and Villa Road.
