Woman accused of driving with 6-year-old boy on the hood

Brittany Holloway, 25, of 145 Brent Drive East, pleaded not guilty in court Monday morning to charges of child endangering and driving with a suspended license.

Holloway was arrested by Clark County sheriff’s deputies on Seminole Avenue on Friday night. She was accused of driving by a deputy’s cruiser with a 6-year-old child on the hood of her car, according to court records. The deputy allegedly saw Holloway “give the vehicle a little gas,” which caused the boy to fall back on the windshield, where he grabbed near the windshield wipers to hang on, the deputy wrote in the incident report.

“It’s inexcusable to subject a child to possibly being injured like that,” said Sgt. Ralph Underwood. “If we something that is life-threatening, we’re going to take action, if we see someone putting a child in that kind of danger.”

Holloway was booked into the Clark County Jail and posted bond over the weekend. ALLISON WICHIE
