Kevin Miller, Braxton Miller’s father, said the situation was not serious and that no assault occurred at the family’s Huber Heights home.
Kevin Miller said Kelly Miller had an argument with the couple’s daughter that involved some grabbing, and that the family’s older son, Breyon, called 911 to diffuse the situation.
Huber Heights police Sgt. Charles Taylor said officers responded to the residence on Troy Villa Blvd. on Thursday afternoon following the 911 call. They transported Kelly Miller to Good Samaritan Hospital for an emergency medical admittance because of possible psychiatric issues, Taylor said.
At the hospital, Kelly Miller threw a punch and spat at an officer, Taylor said. She was arrested there and transported to Montgomery County Jail.
Kevin Miller said he considered the argument at the house “just one like any family has.”
Kevin Miller said Braxton Miller, one of the country’s most highly regarded quarterback recruits in the Class of 2011, was not involved in the situation.
