Springfield police investigated an alleged assault Sunday night where a woman reportedly hit a man with her car.

No one was arrested but police responded to the 400 block of Secretariat Drive in reference to someone being struck by a car, a police report says. The alleged assault happened a little after 1 a.m., according to the report.

The alleged victim said the two were going to a bar when they got into an argument. He said the woman hit him, kicked him out of the car and he started walking.
