Springfield police began their investigation when they were dispatched to South Tuttle Road and East Main Street Tuesday at around 7:40 p.m. for a fight.
“(The victim) stated he met his brother, Jeremiah Abston, at Walmart to talk,” the report says. “(The victim) stated when he got there, Jeremiah began yelling at him, accusing him of causing problems at his workplace and began swinging his fist at him. (The victim) stated Jeremiah was wearing brass knuckles on his hand and struck him once on his head.”

The brother had a large bruise on his forehead, according to the affidavit, and it was photographed.
The victim said during the fight he grabbed a baseball bat out of his truck and struck Jeremiah Abston with it.
