The Springfield Police Division were sent to John’s Drive Thru, 826 W. Main St, at about 8 p.m. for an alarm call. An employee then told police she had been robbed by a man with a gun, according to a police report.

An employee was on the phone when a man walked up to the door. He pulled up his shirt and took out a black hand gun. The employee tried to keep the man from entering, but he was able to push his way into the business. He told the employee: “I don’t want to hurt you, I just need to get my stuff and leave. “The man then put the gun in the employee’s face and pushed her to the ground. He took money from the register and cigarettes before leaving the store.

Police tracked the man’s footprints in the snow nearby, but were unable to find him.
