New Carlisle man faces attempted murder in shooting case

A New Carlisle man now faces formal charges of attempted murder, felonious assault and gun charges related to the shooting of another man.

A grand jury handed down the charges against Alexander D. Boyer, 21, of 209 Rawson Dr., on Monday, according to court documents.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office detectives said Boyer was behind the trigger and shot a Huber Heights man in the chest on March 24. The victim survived.

The shooting stemmed from an argument involving Boyer, a woman and her estranged husband, according to court documents.

Boyer paid a $50,000 bond to be released from the Clark County Jail after he appeared in municipal court on March 25, according to jail records.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in a Clark County Common Pleas court later this week.

Clark County Prosecutor Andy Wilson reports that the Clark County grand jury met and issued the following indictments:

Ricky Lyle Hand, 46: Breaking & entering (two counts) , safe-cracking (two counts), aggravated robbery (11 counts), robbery(13 counts), abduction and attempted safe-cracking.

Jeffery Ferguson, 43, Troy: Failure to comply with order or signal of police officer.

Sarah K. Williams, 33, 278 Stephen Lane: Theft (two counts).

Kimberly Nath, 37, 3781 Woodbury St., Apt 51 Medway: Theft of drugs.

Rahn Poole, 23, 141 Fremont Ave.: Burglary.

Randy L. Davis Jr., 25, 136 E. Euclid Ave.: Trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present.

Sheryl L. Plaatje, 48, 609 Cliffside, New Carlisle: Forgery (two counts), theft (two counts).
