A Medway man was arraigned by video Monday morning in Clark County Municipal Court on a rape charge.

Steven Johnson, 25, pleaded not guilty to rape, court records show. He was given a $20,000 bond and remains in the Clark County Jail.

Officers were dispatched around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday to the 200 block of Braun Street for a sex offense, according to an affidavit filed in the case.

When police arrived, they “listened at the garage door and heard a male stating ‘it was a accident, I’m sorry’,” the affidavit said. “The female was crying hysterically and stated she did not want to hear it.”
