Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, a woman reported to dispatch that seven bikes were stolen sometime on last Saturday or Sunday from her yard in the 1700 block of Hillside Avenue, according to a Springfield police report.

“(The victim) reported that several bikes were stolen from her backyard,” the report said. “She states that her back gate was kicked down to get into her yard.”

According to the report, the bikes stolen include a 16-inch lime green bike, a 24-inch red Huffy bike, a Spiderman toddler pedal bike, an 18-inch blue Huffy bike, a rustic orange Huffy bike, a light blue BMX style bike, and a 26-inch neon yellow adult bike.

The total value of the seven bikes is $706, the report said.

No suspect information was available, and Springfield police continue their investigation.
