There have been 57,151 reported cases and 2,911 deaths in Ohio as of Sunday, July 5 the Ohio Department of Health reported.

53,458 cases and 2,661 deaths have been confirmed by the state. A total of 40,460 people are presumed to be recovered. This number is taken from cases that are more than 21 days old and the person is not deceased.

Coronavirus Alert Levels: What do they mean? 

This week, Ohio officials unveiled a public health alert system to assess the speed at which COVID-19 is spreading in each county. The system uses seven indicators to assign a color to each county from levels one to four, with one being the least severe and four being the most severe.

Gov. Mike DeWine will not address the public to discuss the coronavirus today.
