The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will be adding deputies to county roadways during the 2021 Super Bowl this weekend.

The focus of the enforcement will be impaired operators of motor vehicles, speeding violations and seat belt enforcement, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

“Deputies will enforce a zero-tolerance policy for these violations,” the statement said. “Sheriff Burchett wishes all the motoring public to enjoy the celebration of the Super Bowl and reminds all motorists not to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence and to always wear your seatbelt while operating or as a passenger in a motor vehicle.”

The additional deputies will be paid for through a grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
