Space Force unveils preliminary service dress, workout uniform designs

Space Force has unveiled preliminary designs for its service dress and workout uniforms during the Air Force Association’s 2021 Air, Space & Cyber Conference.

According to the Air Force Times, the service dress uniform heavily incorporates the number six into its design, representing the Space Force’s place as the sixth military branch, including six buttons arranged diagonally on a wraparound jacket.

The uniform also uses a six-sided name take and a six-sided enlisted insignia, the Air Force Times reported.

Space Force shared photos of the dress uniform on social media, where Gen. Jay Raymond, Chief of Space Operations for the U.S. Space Force, said the force created the female design and then created the male version.

It also shared a video of physical training uniforms, which it said is undergoing wear testing.

Space Force spokesperson Col. Catie Hague said the Space Force wants to finalize the designs in the coming months, but they may not be widely available for years, the Air Force Times reported.
