The Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport is today launching new non-stop service to Sarasota, Florida.

The flight is offered through low-cost carrier Frontier, which first began offering service in May 2013. Since then, Frontier has grown at the airport, carrying more than 4.4 million passengers over the last six years to what’s now 21 destinations.

Seasonal Frontier flights to Miami and Fort Lauderdale will restart Thursday and the New Orleans service will relaunch Nov. 15.

Frontier jumpstarted other major growth for Cincinnati’s airport about 65 miles south of Dayton. When Frontier entered as the only low-cost carrier, other airlines took note and added service to the now regional hub and one of the fastest growing airports in the nation.
