Miami Valley companies to participate in new WPAFB contract

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Two local defense contractors are among 19 companies awarded the right to participate in a three-year contract to provide support services to organizations at Wright-Patterson, officials said Tuesday.

Peerless Technologies Corp., of Fairborn, and MacAulay-Brown Inc., of Beavercreek, are operating as a joint-venture business to compete for work under the Acquisition of Consolidated Enterprise Support Services (ACCESS) contract, said Michael Bridges, president of Peerless Technologies.

The contract to provide engineering, technology and acquisition services could be worth a maximum of $900 million over the contract period, said U.S. Rep. Steve Austria, R-Beavercreek, whose district includes part of the base.

The contractors are to serve major organizations located at Wright-Patterson including the Air Force Materiel Command, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Global Logistics Support Center, Air Force Institute of Technology and National Air and Space Intelligence Center.
