A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday for Champaign County, issued by the NWS. Wind chills are expected between 10 and 15 degrees below zero. Anyone outside should wear appropriate clothing, including a hat and gloves. The wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Clouds will increase during the day on Thursday, which will have a high above freezing around 33 degrees. Light snow, with less than a half inch accumulation, is possible Thursday night into Friday, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. The overnight low will be around 22 degrees.
Friday will be mostly cloudy and colder with a high near 24 degrees. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 5 degrees and wind chills again dipping a few degrees below zero.
