Wind gusts of 40 mph, showers possible today; Chance for snow flurries overnight

After strong winds overnight, gusts will weaken slightly this morning to 30 to 40 mph. Once a narrow line of showers moves through the region the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported it will be dry the rest of the day.

Winds will still be strong during the day, but gusts will weaken in the evening to light winds overnight.

Temperatures will be much cooler during the day, not rising much from overnight to a high around 59 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a low around 35 degrees.

Another round of showers in possible overnight, with cold temperatures adding a chance of some snow showers.

Friday temperatures will return to normal with highs in the 40s to low 50s.

During the day it will be breezy and clouds will gradually clear for mostly sunny skies in the evening. Overnight there will be a few more clouds building up, but winds will decrease for a calm night.

Temperatures dip down below freezing Friday night to a low around 30 degrees.

Clouds will gradually increase on Saturday, leading up to a chance of rain that will slowly trail off throughout Saturday night.

Highs on Saturday will be around 56 degrees, falling to a low around 38 degrees.
