Sunny, hot weather, isolated showers and storms possible this afternoon

This morning will be hot and sunny, though the area may see some showers and storms this afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported.

Today will be hot, with temperatures reaching up to 86 degrees. The area may see some showers and storms before 9 p.m., the NWS said. Overnight, temperatures may drop to about 65 degrees.

A chance of showers and a few thunderstorms exists for late Sunday, as depicted by this computer model simulation. Main area of concern is from north of Dayton to Columbus and the Hocking Hills.

Tomorrow the chances of rain may continue, with most of the showers possible after 2 p.m., the NWS said. Highs will reach nearly 90 degrees and the skies will be partly sunny, the NWS said. Monday night, temperatures will drop to about 66 degrees. There may be some light wind and the skies will be cloudy.

Temperatures on Tuesday may reach nearly 90 degrees. The skies will be mostly sunny and temperatures will drop to about 70 degrees overnight.
