Showers, thunderstorms today; Breezy, chilly overnight

Today will be rainy and cool, with showers and a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Highs will be around 69 degrees.

Winds will pick up around dark, with some stronger gusts of wind around 23 mph and breezy winds overnight.

Also around dark, thunderstorm chances will fall away as rain chances fall, although there will still be a chance of showers throughout the night. Lows will be around 47 degrees.

On Saturday, there will be a chance of showers throughout the day. Breezy winds will continue through the day, joined by stronger gusts in the afternoon of up to 23 mph.

Clouds will start to decrease during the afternoon, especially in the late evening, when rain chances will drop. Temperatures will be chilly, with highs around 56 degrees.

Saturday night, clouds will continue to decrease as temperatures fall to around 46 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high around 69 degrees and a low of around 48 degrees.
