NWS: chances of showers, storms through early evening

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue through the early evening hours as temperatures gradually drop to an overnight low around 60 degrees.

The high for today reached 78 degrees in Dayton, 81 in Cincinnati and 79 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with the high near 81 degrees. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with an overnight low around 61 degrees.

Wednesday starts mostly sunny with a high near 83 degrees. However, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. into the evening hours. Showers are likely after 8 p.m., with a thunderstorm possible. The overnight low will be around 65 degrees.

Showers and possible storms continue for Thursday, which will have a high near 80 degrees. It will dry out for Thursday night, which will be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees.

Skies will be mostly sunny Friday with a high near 83 degrees. Some clouds move in Friday night, which has a chance of showers. The overnight low will fall to around 66 degrees.
