Mostly sunny skies with cold temps today

High pressure will lead to dry but cold conditions through the weekend. For the remainder of the upcoming week, there will be occasional chances for rain along with a gradual warming trend.

High pressure shifting will result in mostly sunny skies on Sunday with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

The NWS said temperatures will remain below normal with highs on Sunday ranging from the upper 20s northeast to the mid-30s in the southwest. Lows overnight will be in the upper teens to mid-20s.

On Monday, there’ll be increasing clouds with highs near 43 degrees.

Monday night brings overcast skies with a chance of rain. The lows will drop into the upper 30s for the night as well.

Christmas Eve brings a mostly overcast day with highs in the mid-40s, followed by a overcast night as lows fall into the upper 30s.

Christmas Day will be overcast but mild with a chance of rain. Highs will be near 48 degrees. Overnight, expect cloudy skies with lows around 40 degrees.
