Mostly sunny, cold through end of workweek

Today will be mostly sunny with more seasonable temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Highs will rise to the upper 30s, with some areas seeing temperatures climb into the low 40s.

Clouds will increase this afternoon.

A cold front will bring Arctic air with the chance for a few snow flurries tonight.

Temperatures will drop to around 16 degrees, with wind chills in the single-digits.

Tomorrow, it will be mostly sunny and colder, with highs in the upper teens to mid-20s, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 12 degrees.

To start the weekend, Saturday will be mostly sunny, windy and a little warmer again with highs around 40 degrees. In the afternoon, there will be sustained winds of up to 21 mph and gusts as high as 31 mph.

It will be mostly cloudy on Saturday night, with the gusty winds continuing throughout. Lows will be around 36 degrees.

Sunday will be partly sunny, which highs in the mid- to upper 40s.
