Today will be cool and windy, with sustained winds as high as 18 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Highs will be around 54 degrees.

Overnight, clouds will gradually increase, with a slight chance of rain starting around 7 p.m. Widespread showers will be likely after midnight and are expected to continue the early afternoon Friday. Lows will be around 40 degrees.

Friday will be rainy, with showers likely all day and during the evening hours, falling to a chance of rain after midnight and trailing off before dawn on Saturday.

Rain chances will start to decrease in the early afternoon, but linger throughout the day.

Temperatures will be cool on Friday, with highs around 53 degrees and lows around 45 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with a high around 54 degrees. Wind gusts of 20 mph are possible.

On Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy and cold, with lows around 38 degrees and a slight chance of rain after midnight.
