“This will lead to power outages, which could last for multiple days,” the NWS said.
People should secure loose items outside, such as umbrellas and trash cans. Motorists in high-profile vehicles should drive cautiously.
Though high winds will continue to wane Friday morning, gusts up to 35 miles lingering until the late morning, according to NWS.
Skies will be mostly cloudy to start with, though cloud cover will gradually clear throughout the day and into the night. After the rainy night the weather will stay dry Friday, with temperatures rising to around 58 degrees, then falling to around 42 degrees overnight.
By Saturday, skies will be mostly sunny with some breezy winds. Temperatures will rise to a high around 72 degrees.
There will be a chance of rainfall before dark on Saturday, which will continue through the night. Lows will be around 48 degrees, and there is a chance of thunderstorms before dawn on Sunday.
There will still be a chance of showers during Sunday morning, but then it will be partly sunny and a high near 58 degrees. There will also be some stronger winds in the afternoon, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
Sunday night will be clear, calm and cold, though, with winds falling and temperatures dipping down near freezing. The low is expected to be around 33 degrees.
