Wind Advisory in effect; snow showers, possible slick spots overnight

Wind Advisory is in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday for the entire region. With gusts up to 45 mph, scattered tree and power line damage is possible along  with some minor property damage in the highest gusts. Winds this strong also can create a driving hazard for high profile vehicles.

Overnight: Scattered snow showers are likely, which will be enhanced by gusty winds as high as 45 mph that will reduce visibility and create slick spots on roadways, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. A wind advisory remains in effect through 7 a.m.

A light accumulation is possible. Overnight lows will dip into the middle 20s with wind chills in the teens and upper single digits. Roads may still be slippery for the morning commute. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and stay alert to rapidly changing conditions.

Wednesday: Lingering flurries or snow showers are possible in the morning. Gusty winds up to 35 mph will still be around for the morning commute. Clouds break through the day for some sunshine. A colder afternoon is expected with temperatures in the low 30s.

Thursday: Some sunshine is expected early in the day with clouds increasing. High temperatures will push to around 50 degrees. Rain showers will move back in for the evening.

Friday: Rain showers are expected to continue. Temperatures will reach the mid-40s early and will fall throughout the day. Rain could end again as light snow chances increase.

Saturday: Dry time is expected for most areas. High temperatures are expected in the low 30s. A quick disturbance could bring some rain or snow showers south of Dayton.
