Gusts up to 45 mph possible as showers arrive

Winds will continue to gust through the evening hours at times, with gusts upwards of 45 mph possible for a brief period on the leading edge of shower activity ahead of a cold front.

The high for today reached 71 degrees in Dayton, and 70 degrees in Cincinnati and Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Showers are expected mainly after 9 p.m. The overnight low temperature will around 47 degrees.

After a wet start to Saturday, skies will gradually clear and become mostly sunny. The afternoon high will be near 59 degrees.

Skies Saturday night will stay clear, but temperatures will fall below freezing, to a low around 30 degrees. Patchy frost is likely after 2 a.m.

Easter will have a chilly start with areas of frost before 10 a.m. The day will be sunny, however, with highs reaching 53 degrees.

Showers are expected overnight, mainly after 2 a.m., with an overnight low around 38 degrees.

Showers are likely for the start of the new workweek, mainly before 8 a.m. Monday. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 54 degrees.

Monday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 35 degrees.
