Cool, windy this weekend as hurricane remnants pass through

It will be cool and blustery this weekend as remnants of Hurricane Ian move through the area, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Skies will be mostly cloudy today, with wind gusts as high as 25 mph and highs around 70 degrees.

Clouds will gradually clear overnight as temperatures fall to around 54 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny but just as windy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Again, highs will be around 70 degrees.

Sunday night will be mostly clear, with winds gradually lessening as the night goes on. Lows will be around 46 degrees.

After the windy weekend, Monday is expected to be much quieter, with sunny skies and a high around 70 degrees.

Overnight it will be mostly clear with a low around 42 degrees.
