Snow showers are expected to start this afternoon and continue through midnight.

Southwest Ohio is expected to get 3 to 4 inches of snow. Most areas should see less than 4 inches of snow, but the NWS said it cannot rule out isolated cases of 4 inches.

There will be a lingering chance of show after midnight that will end by morning on Saturday.

A Winter Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Watch is scheduled for the region from 11 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.

Motorists should plan for slippery road conditions and possible hazardous road conditions during the evening commute, according to the NWS.

Friday will be a few degrees warmer — but still colder than usual — with highs around 26 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will drop around 21 degrees.

Saturday will be partly sunny with highs around 28 degrees, followed by a mostly cloudy night with lows around 12 degrees.

Sunday could see highs hit 32 degrees, but will be mostly cloudy with a few moments of sunshine. A clipper system moving into the region Sunday night and Monday will bring bitterly cold temperatures back mid-week.
