Sprinkles could transition to flurries late tonight and overnight for some as a cold front moves through the area, with more chances for rain and snow this weekend.

Today’s high temperature reached 47 degrees in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be cloudy with an overnight low around freezing and a chance of snow showers, mainly through 3 a.m.

There is a slight chance of snow showers before noon Friday, which otherwise will be cloudy but seasonal with a high near 38 degrees.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 29 degrees.

Saturday will be a touch warmer with a high near 41 degrees under partly sunny skies. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 28 degrees. There is a slight chance of snow after 2 a.m.

Sunday will be off to a snowy start before it transitions to rain during the afternoon. There is a chance of snow before 11 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by a chance of rain. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 42 degrees.

Sunday night there is a chance of rain before 8 p.m. Overnight will be mostly cloudy with a low around freezing.

It is expected to stay dry for the new workweek, with highs above normal in the mid-40s on Monday and Tuesday.
