Woman dies after crashing into tree in Springfield

A woman has died following a crash Thursday morning in Springfield.

The crash was reported around 9 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Yellow Springs Street, according to Springfield police.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, struck a tree and was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, according to police.
