An out-of-state person with mumps traveled to the National Cheerleaders Association All-Star National Championships, held in downtown Dallas Feb. 23-25, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Local teams have been known to travel to the event, although it’s unclear if any did this year. In 2017, Midwest Cheer Elite Femme Feline, Midwest Cheer Elite Ladykatz and Midwest Cheer Elite Diamond Katz attended in the event.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has sent a letter to those that participated and their families, according to reports.
