The recipients of scholarships of $5,000 or more include:
Evan Bottom, son of Robert and Norma Bottom, will major in electrical and computer engineering at The Ohio State University. He has been awarded $6,500 in scholarships from OSU and the Tiffany Brown Memorial scholarship for $1,000.
Ricky Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bruce, will major in human nutrition/pre-medicine at Heidelberg University. He has received a wresting scholarship and financial package for over $30,000 per year from Heidelberg University.
Seth Donohoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Donohoe, will attend Urbana University to major in athletic training/exercise sciences. He has received $5,000 per year from Urbana University in scholarships and the Christy Knotts/Ranae Donohoe Memorial scholarship for $1,000.
Morgan Eades, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Eades, will attend Wilmington College to major in Agriculture Education. Morgan has been awarded $22,000 in scholarships per year from Wilmington. He has also received the Champaign County Farm Bureau scholarship for $800, the Linda Lincoln Stallsmith Scholarship for $1,000, the Matt Calland Memorial Scholarship for $1,500, the Dr. Judy Sanders Scholarship for $2,500, the Don Funderburgh award for $100, the Triad quarterback club scholarship for $250 the Urbana Spriggs VFW scholarship for $500, the Triad Education Association scholarship for $500.
Madison Ehrenborg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Ehrenborg, will attend Urbana University to major in nursing. She will receive a $9,500 per year softball scholarship.
Steven Feasel, son of Brandon Feasel and Christal Whitt, will attend Urbana University on a football scholarship for $8,000 per year and major in business. He has also received the Triad quarterback club scholarship for $250.
Douglas Lowe II, son of Laura Parker and Douglas Lowe, will attend the University of Cincinnati to major in sports administration/athletic training. He has received a baseball scholarship from UC for $11,500 per year and the Triad quarterback club scholarship for $250.
Zachary McConnell, son of Matt and Michelle McConnell, will major in agricultural engineering at The Ohio State University. He has been awarded the Champaign County OSU alumni scholarship for $600, the Don Funderburgh award for $250, the Jay Dooley Memorial scholarship for over $5,000, the Triad quarterback club scholarship for $250, the Noel Howard Memorial scholarship for $500 and the Nic Orahood memorial scholarship for $500.
Jacob McCreary, son of Doug and Kari McCreary, will attend Otterbein University to major in biology. He has been awarded over $20,000 in scholarships from Otterbein University and the Triad quarterback scholarship for $250.
Roger (Tre) McIntyre III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger McIntyre II, will major in criminology/criminal justice/psychology at Ohio Dominican University where he has received a $16,000 per year football scholarship and a $13,000 per year merit scholarship. He has also received the Triad quarterback club scholarship for $250.
Leanna Russell, daughter of John and Pam Russell, will major in animation at the Columbus College of Art and Design. She has been awarded $10,000 per year from CCAD.
Casey Smedley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Smedley, will major in psychology at Wright State University. He has been awarded $8,000 per year from Wright State and has also received the Phillip Russell Memorial Scholarship for $500.
Breanna Stapleton, daughter of Amy Combs and Michael Stapleton, will attend Columbus College of Art and Design to major in illustration. She has received a $20,000 academic scholarship from CCAD.
Emily Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Thompson, will attend Ohio University. She has received $5,078 in scholarships from OU and a $700 Beth Brown Memorial Scholarship.
Hannah Tukesbrey-Kilbride, daughter of John and Christie Kilbride, will attend Ohio University to major in political science/pre-law, she has been awarded $10,000 in scholarships from Ohio University. She has also received the Christy Knotts/Ranae Donohoe scholarship for $1,000, the Don Funderburgh Award for $100 and the 4-H home economics committee scholarship for $500.
Helen Varuhas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanouil Varuhas, has received a $7,000 per year scholarship from The Ohio State University where she will major in biological sciences. She has also received the $1,000 Soroptimist Internation of Urbana Scholarship and the Beth Brown Memorial Scholarship for $150.
Collin Watson, son of Todd and Annette Watson, will major in business management at Ohio Dominican University or Mount Vernon University. He has been offered a $16,000 per year scholarship by Ohio Dominican and a $12,500 per year scholarship by Mount Vernon University.
