Mostly cloudy skies, still with still a chance of passing showers or storms. While an isolated strong storm with locally heavy rain is possible, the overall severe weather threat for the Miami Valley has diminished. Temperatures will slowly drop back into the upper 60s by morning.

UPDATE @ 9:45 p.m.

The severe thunderstorm watch continues until 11 p.m. for Butler, Clinton, Greene, Montgomery, Preble and Warren counties in Ohio; Fayette, Franklin, Union and Wayne in Indiana. The watch cancels for Champaign, Clark, Darke and Miami counties.

DETAILED FORECAST

Tuesday: A cold front pushes out of the area, so any showers end early. Clouds will break through the day. It will be a little breezy, with highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: An area of low pressure will approach mid-week. Dry time early, with some showers and storms possible into the evening. Highs in the low 80s.

Rain and storms will become widespread and heavy at times Wednesday night into Thursday. Strong wind gusts and localized heavy rain will be the main issues at night.

Thursday: Rain with some embedded storms possible during the day. Ponding on roads and low-lying areas possible. Highs will be in the mid-80s. Showers will end through the day.

Friday: A mix of sun and clouds, but staying dry. Highs will be in the low 80s and feel less humid.

Saturday: The heat and humidity will return as temperatures jump back to near 90.
