Springfield sisters recreate childhood photo in dad’s cruiser, but now they wear the badges

Retired Springfield Police Lt. Lou Turner clearly is a proud papa.

Turner, who left the division after 30-plus years last August, shared on social media pictures of his two daughters — Annmeri Turner and Antonia Turner — who now are Springfield police officers.

One image was from 20 years ago when his daughters were little, and they were sitting in his cruiser with their father partially shown on the far right.

The second image was from this year, as the sisters were shown in a cruiser after Annmeri joined the force.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety shared the photos in a post that said, “Shout out to women in law enforcement!”

Annmeri spoke earlier this year at the graduation ceremony for Clark State’s police academy, saying she was blessed to follow behind her dad and sister to work for SPD.

“I look for this job to put me in a good position to make a positive impact on the community in that I have grown up in,” she said at graduation.
