Police are investigating after a man was shot in an alley behind a Springfield home Tuesday.

The man was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center before he was transported via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Police tape was around a home in the 1600 hundred block of South Limestone Street.

A man exited the residence in handcuffs and was taken into police custody. It is not clear if or how he is connected to the incident.
