Springfield will be featured in a five-minute national TV program

Springfield will be featured in a program that will air on national public television in November.

The Success Files is scheduled to feature Springfield some time after Nov. 26, according to information from the Chamber of Greater Springfield. The city will also be featured in a one-minute commercial scheduled to appear between Nov. 1 and Nov. 4 on Fox Business News. The first airing will be at 9:57 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, according to information from the Chamber. Additional airings will take place between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2 on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Family Channel and CNN Headline News.

The News-Sun previously reported The Success Files is a three to five-minute segment that airs on public television and is hosted by Rob Lowe, who has starred in shows like "The West Wing" and "Parks and Recreation.

The cost to underwrite and produce the show is about $27,000, which has already been paid by the Greater Springfield Community Improvement Corp., local officials previously told the News-Sun.
