Plans were made for a new building in 1956 on the same spot, but since there were already 4 other Lutheran churches nearby, the congregation moved to a new building in on Broadway in 1960 and then the church was torn down in 1962.
Today, the corner is home to the Executive Inn and Senor Piquin Rivera restaurant.
